Kat Scheurer MS, RD, LD, CPT graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS and MS degree in Nutritional Sciences. Upon completion of her studies, Kat gained diverse experience from employment at several reputable organizations. She began her career working for the Baylor Scott & White Health Care system in the Dallas area assessing and educating adults in need of nutrition therapy for rehabilitation, diabetes, heart disease and more. Eventually, she fostered a knack for working in Pediatrics which led her to Children’s Health Dallas. While at Children’s, Kat developed an expertise in general pediatrics with varying diagnoses including exposure to diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease and transplantation. Applying this varied background, Kat joined the team at Eating Recovery Center of Dallas where she focused on treating adult and adolescent eating disorders in the inpatient, partial and outpatient setting.
Kat truly enjoys working with adolescents, adults and their families in helping to achieve their nutrition and lifestyle goals. In addition, while utilizing her passion for fitness, she received her certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in March of 2018. Kat recognizes the need for individuals to be able to capably incorporate healthy exercise into their lives while following a “non-diet” approach. Kat strives to provide individualized nutrition counseling to better equip clients with the tools needed to develop and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
